Hyderabad, India — The 72nd Miss World Festival concluded with a grand finale of the Head-to-Head Challenge, where twenty contestants from around the globe demonstrated their intellect, eloquence, and social vision at Hotel Trident in Hyderabad.

The competition featured five representatives each from Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania, as wellity the Americas and Caribbean. Contestants were tasked with addressing pressing social issues, showcasing their ability to engage with global challenges through thoughtful dialogue and innovative ideas.
América y Caribe: Women’s Safety and Empowerment in Telangana
From the Americas and Caribbean, contestants answered the question: ‘Having traveled to Hyderabad, what message would you give the world on women’s safety and empowerment in Telangana?’
Miss Guyana emphasized that ‘women belong everywhere, and safety is a right, not a privilege,’ praising Telangana as a place where women can live and explore freely. Miss Trinidad and Tobago, who advanced to the final, highlighted the correlation between progress and empowerment, calling on Telangana to ensure women are not left behind.
Afrique: Challenges as Pathways to Growth and the Role of Social Media
Participants from Africa addressed the theme of challenges as opportunities for growth. Miss Namibia shared her personal battle with anxiety and depression, crediting her transformation to faith and purpose. Miss Zambia, who won the African title, spoke about her scholarship in clinical medicine and the importance of passion and purpose.
Miss Zambia also addressed the role of social media in shaping youth perspectives. She urged contestants to remain authentic, stating that ‘authenticity is strength — society may evolve, but our true selves should not be lost.’
Europa: Empowering Youth Through Education
Representatives from Europe answered the question: ‘If you could implement one change in your country to improve young lives, what would it be and why?’ Miss Ireland advocated for stronger protections against domestic violence, while Miss Wales emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare and education.
Miss Wales shared her journey as the first in her family to attend university and how her experiences in Uganda and India inspired her mission. ‘Education looks different for everyone, but it remains the most powerful tool,’ she said.
Asia y Oceania: Cultural Identity and ‘Beauty with a Purpose’
Delegates from Asia and Oceania reflected on how working with the ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ project has shaped their perspectives. Miss Turkey, an oncologist who lost her mother to cancer, championed mammogram awareness in her country. Her powerful advocacy earned her the Asia and Oceania title.
In the final round, contestants addressed the theme of preserving cultural identity in a globalized world. Miss Turkey emphasized the importance of cultural heritage, stating that ‘cultural differences are not barriers, but bridges.’
Final Question: Climate Change
The eight finalists were asked: ‘What is your opinion on climate change?’ Miss Trinidad and Tobago, who emphasized the importance of environmental protection, described how ‘planting a single tree can bring back birds, reduce stress, and rebuild harmony.’
Promoting Telangana to the World
The final four winners — Turkey, Wales, Zambia, and Trinidad & Tobago — were asked how they would promote Telangana to the world. Miss Turkey highlighted the state’s focus on technology and medical innovation, calling it a ‘vibrant state of progress.’
Miss Wales praised the warmth of the people and invited her country to experience Telangana’s rich culture firsthand. Miss Zambia described Telangana as a place of authenticity and cultural pride, while Miss Trinidad and Tobago extended the ‘land of sunshine’ warmth to Telangana.
